Thanks to Forgotten New York for helping me to identify many of the sights in this gallery, particularly the giant red “R”. (I love the line “anyone who uses the word ‘nabes’ should be locked in a room with rabid opossums”; I hope my qualification allows me an exemption.)
About twenty photos went missing (including of Steve’s, Brooklyn Crab, and Sonny’s), so I might add a few more later if I can recover them.
